“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep”
— Scott Adams
Currently I’m experimenting with shapes and glazes. Sometimes the results are awesome (or at least awesome to me), like this vase. Other times the results are less than awesome, but at least they teach me something. Anyway, I’m still learning and trying to understand the complicated world of ceramics. And surprisingly, unlike so many other things I have tried, I haven’t gotten tired of it.
Lately I’ve been thinking about how we’ve lost our abilities to make things with our hands, and how we are more and more becoming slaves of the keyboards and touchscreens. We are constantly connected, and even worse now with the smart watches. What are we turning into? OK, I won’t go philosophical on you, I’m just going through a phase where I´m trying to reinvent myself, once again. I need to fix some things on the current version of Bere, do some upgrading and fine tuning. Soon I’ll tell you more.
