The Closet Voyeur: Ileana Rodríguez – Reclu

The following photos have rotted away on my hard drive since september. It has taken me so long to publish them that even Ileana (as in Ileana Rodríguez aka Reclu) has packed her bags and moved to another place up north. I guess one my new year resolutions should be to get off my procrastinating ass and start posting more stuff on the blog.

But back to Reclu. She’s an eight-armed, two-headed wonder escaped from an Indian freak show. I mean, she’s got juggle being a mom, a columnist, a radio host, a translator, a social media junkie, and internet expert shopper — all at once. She hides her extra head and arms well, though, cause when I met her she looked perfectly normal.

The Closet Voyeur: Kenza

A couple of months ago I went on a business trip to Paris. Like always I decided to make the most of it. Despite jet lag, long working days, and walking like crazy through the city shopping and taking tons of pictures of buildings, visiting the Helmut Newton retrospective and the Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs exhibition, I found time to take some pictures for The Closet Voyeur.

This time two kind girls let me enter their world — the first one the french blogger Kenza. She has a great style and a really sweet personality.

But, without further ado, please meet Marina Hallebeek and Daniel Cinta, an awesome couple living in a super cool apartment together with their dogs Bubu and Jagger. Marina is a photographer, and Cinta works in Agencia Roja where he is a Creative Solutions Manager. Basically, “he does a little bit of everything”.

Kenneth Korngold is a private banker, photography lover, and suit connoisseur. A curious fact about him is that he finds it pointless to have a kitchen, hence he doesn’t have one. At least that way you’ll never have to worry about cleaning up the mess after cooking.

Joséphine Katz Trataris is a young and talented marketing woman, that in her short career has already worked at L´Oréal and Louis Vuitton.

Joséphine embodies the true parisian joie de vivre. Through the session, she never stopped smiling. Not for a second. It was such a pleasure shooting her and listening to her stories.

I hope you enjoy the first closet voyeur of the year. Let´s hope to have many more in 2012.

Dream: to be remembered, I don’t know what for yet!

I met Juan Manuel on my last trip to Paris. He left Mexico a couple of years ago and moved to Paris to pursuit the dream of being a designer. How brave is that? I immediately felt inspired by his stories, his designs, and his little Parisian world. Now Juan Manuel is working with Kim Jones at Louis Vuitton, and this is how dreams come true.

Sueño: Una vez soñé que era hiperflexible, brincaba muy alto y hacía unos splits en el aire de O grados y parecían de 360, supongo que esa es la manifestación subconsciente con respecto al diálogo, ya que veo todo correlacionado… La apertura de escuchar y realmente estar dispuesto al intercambio. De crecer mi perspectiva con la tuya y viceversa.

Dream: One time I dreamed that I was hyperflexible, I was jumping really high and I doing splits in the air of 0 degrees that looked like 360, I assume that it was the manifestation of my subconscious mind related to the dialog, since I see everything correlated… The will of listening and be ready to the interchange of ideas. Of nurture my perspective with yours and viceversa.

Frase

It is difficult to find a single word that will adequately describe the ideal man of the free philosophers and the founders of religion. “Non-attached” is perhaps the best.
