I started doing street style photography when I arrived to Shanghai. It just seemed like the perfect afternoon hobby. I mean, I love fashion. I love photography. Combine the two and you have a perfect match. Then one afternoon while shooting for my blog, a woman approached me introducing herself as Maggie Mao, senior fashion editor of Grazia magazine. She asked if I would be interested in having my street style photos in the magazine. After I had picked up my jaw from the ground, I composed myself and said “yes, that would be lovely.” And now — ta da — I can call myself a published photographer extraordinaire. Look out Breton and Avedon, here come’s Bere Hernandez! he he
Fue hasta que llegué a Shanghai cuando empecé a tomar fotos streetstyleras. Parecía el hobby vespertino perfecto. Moda mas fotografía igual a la pareja perfecta. Y así pasaron las tardes hasta que un día cuando tomaba fotos para mi blog conocí a Maggie Mao, Senior editor de Grazia Magazine. Maggie me preguntó si quería tomar fotos para la revista. Y yo, después de permanecer un rato en shock, respire lento y profundamente y dije: “claro, me encantaría” Y ahora — ta rán — ya puedo decir que soy una fotógrafa publicada. Agárrense Breton y Avedon que aquí viene Bere Hernández! je je:P
