I met Gina a while ago. She was wearing a beautiful pair of Miu Miu’s. Next time I met her she was wearing a beautiful pair of Louboutin’s. From that moment I knew this girl had a thing with shoes, and I was right. Her closet is a shoe paradise–and we get to snoop around in it. As always the Gifs are made by The Story Bureau. Enjoy.

Kenneth Korngold is a private banker, photography lover, and suit connoisseur. A curious fact about him is that he finds it pointless to have a kitchen, hence he doesn’t have one. At least that way you’ll never have to worry about cleaning up the mess after cooking.

This time we wanted to add a magic touch to the pictures so we decided to include some cinemagraphs, made, like always, by The Story Bureau. I hope you enjoy them.

Meet Eiko Hara, a Japanese Dj, singer and blogger from Tokyo. Last week she came to México City to DJ at W Hotel. Together with six other DJs Eiko is traveling around the world as part of the project W Hotels & Burn studios DJ Lab.

Joséphine Katz Trataris is a young and talented marketing woman, that in her short career has already worked at L´Oréal and Louis Vuitton.

Joséphine embodies the true parisian joie de vivre. Through the session, she never stopped smiling. Not for a second. It was such a pleasure shooting her and listening to her stories.

I hope you enjoy the first closet voyeur of the year. Let´s hope to have many more in 2012.

Dream: to be remembered, I don’t know what for yet!

Designer: Jean-Paul Gaultier because his designs are whimsical, bold and therefore poetic. I like what’s whimsical and particular.

Shoes: Very high heels or ballerinas, Parisian classics. But I care more fore coats and vests than for shoes!

Favorite activity: I don’t do it often, but going to music festivals. They are the bestest utopia come true: people coming together through a shared passion for music. It’s always electrifying!

Movie: Barbarella, it’s wonderful. Or anything with Audrey Hepburn because she’s the epitomy of femininity and charm.

Big Top Candy Shop Austin

In the 80s and beginning of 90s there were only two ways to get goods from United States to Mexico (you couldn’t get it until free trade agreement of 1994) , you either crossed the border to buy them, or you went to markets and stores where it was sold illegally. We used to called it “La Fayuca”.

For us kids, it was about the candies: skittles, ringpops, nerds, smarties, butterfingers — they made us all crazy and happy.

Now imagine the flood of memories that came over me when I entered “The Big Top Candy Shop” in Austin, Texas. A shop full of not just the traditional American candy, but candy from all parts of the world, an insane variety of candy that made me wish I was a kid again. For the 8 year old Bere, this would have been a candy dream come true. But for today’s Bere, I enjoyed the stores merchandising more. It was just so beautifully arranged, so unusual, and between the candies you found steampunk music instruments, and weird circus posters. It was hands down the best store I visited this year.

But there was at least one happy kid in the store. A certain Swedish kid that lost is shit when he saw a bar of Swedish Daim. Just look at that smile.

The Closet Voyeur: Juan Manuel Salazar

I met Juan Manuel on my last trip to Paris. He left Mexico a couple of years ago and moved to Paris to pursuit the dream of being a designer. How brave is that? I immediately felt inspired by his stories, his designs, and his little Parisian world. Now Juan Manuel is working with Kim Jones at Louis Vuitton, and this is how dreams come true.

Diseñador:Aún ahora no puedo creer estar trabajando con uno de mis diseñadores mas admirados, Kim Jones en Louis Vuitton. También estoy orgulloso del tiempo que estuve en prácticas en Maison Martin Margiela. Llevo 2 de 4! me faltan Miuccia Prada y Dries Van Noten.

Designer: I still can’t believe to be working with one of my most admired designers, Kim Jones at Louis Vuitton. I am also proud of the time I interned at Maison Martin Margiela. That´s two out four! I’m still missing Miuccia Prada and Dries Van Noten.

Zapatos: Unos Goodyear oxfords negros de Carol Christian Poell que me tienen obsesionado! También ando en la búsqueda de unas buenas botas invernales y unas sandalias para el próximo verano.

Shoes: A pair of Goodyear black oxfords by Carol Christian Poell that I have been obsessing on! I’m also on the quest to find a great pair winter boots and some sandals for next summer.

Accesorios: Guantes, y trato de siempre traer puesta mi pulcera de lapislázuli.
