El próximo viernes tendré mi propio pedazo de Escandinavia otra vez. Me urge, siento mariposas en la panza, no puedo dormir, no puedo comer, Si! Estoy enamorada. Aquí una foto de El Andy de pequeñito, Santa me lo manda como regalo de Navidad.

Hoy en El Lunes Escandinavo, Dagmar, una marca de ropa Sueca relativamente nueva. The house of Dagmar empezó en la primavera del 2005 y desde entonces ha recibido diferentes reconocimientos y premios, tales como el Garbohatten, reconocimiento en nombre de la Fabulosa Actriz Greta Garbo y The Newcomer of the Year por la Revista Elle.

Las ideas detrás de la colección Otoño Invierno 2009 son “el regreso a los básicos” y “moda lenta”, en las siguientes imágenes pueden apreciar las formas sensuales de sus diseños.

Today in Scandinavian Monday Dagmar a Swedish brand which is relatively new. The house of Dagmar started on 2005 and since then the brand have received several awards, such as the award in the name of Greta Garbo called “Garbohatten” and The Newcomer of The Year by Elle Magazine.

According to Dagmar the ideas behind the collection Autumn winter 2009 are “back to basics” and “slow fashion”, you can appreciate the sensual shapes in their designs.

Antes de vivir en Suecia nunca había visto hombres tan apasionados por la moda. Las calles parecían pasarelas llenas de hombres vestidos de formas diferentes, con estilos diferentes. Hasta ir a la tienda era una fashion experience. Parecía que todos se tomaban su tiempo para seleccionar prendas y accesorios únicos para complementar sus looks.

Una encuesta conducida por Orvesto Konsument en 2008 mostró que “41 por ciento de los Suecos entre 15 y 79 años opinaron que hasta cierto punto es importante vestir bien. 14 por ciento están completamente de acuerdo con que es muy importante vestir bien. Con estos porcentajes no es raro ver nuevas marcas enfocadas al mundo de la moda masculina, por ejemplo Our Legacy, oficialmente establecida en el 2005.

Our Legacy es una marca Sueca enfocada en la creación de ropa relajada, simple, que de una sensación natural y hecha la mayor parte del tiempo en algodón.

Before living in Sweden I had never seen men so passionate about fashion. The streets looked like catwalks, full of men dressed in different ways, with different styles. Even walking to the store was a fashion experience. It seemed all of them were taking their time in selecting the unique items to complement their outfits.

Escribir un post todos los lunes acerca de Escandinavia me ha dado muchísimas buenas sorpresas, especialmente cuando encuentro fotos e historias de Mujeres enigmáticas como Greta Garbo y ahora Anna Karina. Espero que mi buen amigo Google continue sorprendiéndome.

Anna Karina (Hanne Karin Bayer) es una actriz Danesa, directora, escritora y la principal musa del director Frances Jean-Luc Godard quien fue también uno de sus 4 esposos.

Jean-Luc Godard dijo “todo lo que se necesita para hacer una película es una chica y una pistola” Definitivamente Anna Karina fue su chica, y ambos contribuyeron a que la película Vivre sa vie (1962) fuera la más popular del director entre los críticos.

Posting every Monday something about Scandinavia has given me a lot of nice surprises, especially when I find pictures and stories about enigmatic women such as Greta Garbo and now Anna Karina, I hope my good friend google will continue giving me such nice surprises.

Anna Karina (Hanne Karin Bayer) is a Danish film actress, director, screenwriter and the main muse of the French director Jean-Luc Godard whom was also one of her four husbands.

Jean-Luc Godard once said, “All you need to make a film is a girl and a gun.” Anna Karina was his girl and without both of them the film Vivre sa vie (1962) would have never been his most popular film among the critics.

Hoy el Lunes Escandinavo está dedicado a Greta Garbo, la Gran Actriz Sueca de los años 20’s y 30´s, una mujer talentosa y asertiva, enigmática hasta para sus amigos, quienes expresaron lo difícil que fue entenderla a menos que comprendieras la personalidad de los Suecos.

Se volvió famosa muy rápido, y después de años de éxito decidió vivir alejada de los medios, recluida en un departamento en Nueva York. Se decía que le tenia miedo a la prensa y a los fans.

Su actuación en el cine mudo de Hollywood fue impresionante, estaba claro que la voz no era importante cuando se poseían unos ojos tan expresivos.

Si están interesados en saber más acerca de su vida les recomiendo que vean el documental de Garbo, lleno de momentos mágicos y datos interesantes.

Sin duda Greta Garbo fue glamorosa, bella, talentosa, enigmática, femenina y asertiva todo al mismo tiempo.

Today Scandinavian Monday is dedicated to Greta Garbo, the great Swedish actress of the 20’s and 30´s, an assertive and talented woman, enigmatic even to her friends whose express how difficult was to understand her unless you understand the Swedes.

She got famous very fast, and after years of success she decided to live a private life, she recluse herself at her apartment in New York. She was afraid of the press and afraid to being approach by fans.

Her performance at Hollywood silent films was impressive, it was cleared that voice was not important when she had those expressive eyes.

If you are interested to know more about her I recommended to see Garbo´s documentary, full of magical moments and interesting facts.

With no doubt Greta Garbo was Glamorous, beautiful, talented, enigmatic, feminine and assertive all at the same time.

Ingmar Bergman’s (the Swedish daemon director, who died in 2007) stuff is being auctioned off at this very moment. There is still time to get your hands on the directors favorite chair or dinnerware, so don’t miss your chance to watch the auction live and perhaps phone in a bid or two.

Como saben el Vodka Absolut es una marca Sueca así que hablar de ella cae como anillo al dedo en este Lunes Escandinavo. Recientemente la marca lanzó al mercado la botella Absolut sin etiquetas. Esta botella de edición limitada trata de representar al mundo sin etiquetas. Para apoyar esta campaña la marca ha comenzado un blog el cual invita a las personas de todo el mundo a eliminar las etiquetas hacia las minorías sexuales. Una campaña definitivamente inteligente que comienza con la premisa: In an Absolut World, there are no labels. Échenle un vistazo y díganme que piensan.

As you know Absolut Vodka is a Swedish brand so talking about it is just perfect for Scandinavian Monday. Recently the Brand introduced to the market the Absolut bottle No labels. The bottle is a limited edition that attempts to represent the world without labels. To support this campaign the brand started a blog which invites people around the world to discard labels about sexual minorities. A very clever campaign that starts with the following premise: In an Absolut World, there are no labels. Take a look and tell me what do you think.

Hoy en el Lunes Escandinavo díganle hola al Caballo de Dalarna. Hace mucho tiempo era utilizado como juguete para niños pero ahora se ha convertido en un símbolo genuino de Suecia específicamente de Dalarna, una provincia Sueca, y créanme los suecos están locos por él.

El Dalecarlian es tradicionalmente hecho de madera pero si van a Suecia lo encontrarán en servilletas, camisetas, delantales, joyería, etc. Nada puede ser mas Sueco que este simpático caballito.

Claro yo tengo unos cuantos en mi departamento. Si visitan Suecia asegúrense de comprar al menos uno.

Today in Scandinavian Monday say hello to the Dalarna Horse. In the old times it was a children´s toy but now it has become a genuine symbol of Sweden specifically of Dalarna a Swedish province and believe me Swedish are crazy about it!

The Dalecarlian Horse is traditionally made of wood but if you go to Sweden you can find it in napkins, t-shirts, aprons, jewelry, etc. Nothing can be more Swedish than this cute horse.

Of course I have some of them around my apartment. If you visit Sweden make sure you buy at least one.
