The shop was absolutely charming, full of treasures that Lolo, the owner, has collected during her travels to Europe. I fell in love with almost everything, but since I don´t have enough space left in my suitcases I would have to make due with photographing the place instead of taking it with me. So here are my pictures. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Ah, but of course I couldn´t leave completely empty handed, so I bought that lovely blue dress you have already seen.

Mi tienda ideal es aquella que te hace sentir como niño en dulceria, llena de colores y de cosas que probar. Exactamente así me sentí el día en que finalmente decidí visitar la boutique Lolo Love Vintage, un pequeño lugar aquí en Shanghai. Digo finalmente porque la idea de visitarla había estado rondando mi cabeza desde hace 5 meses que fue cuando leí sobre su existencia en una revista. Mas o menos sabía donde estaba ubicada así que siempre pasaba por ahí con los ojos abiertos pero de alguna forma nunca había podido encontrarla, hasta hace unos días cuando por fin se cruzó en mi camino, ahí estaba justo en mis narices a unos pasitos de mi departamento.

La boutique es absolutamente encantadora, llena de tesoros que Lolo, la dueña, ha coleccionado durante sus viajes por Europa. Me enamoré de casi todo, pero como en mis maletas ya no cabe ni un alfiler me conforme con tomar fotos. Aquí las comparto con ustedes. Espero que les gusten tanto como a mi.

Ah, y por supuesto no me fui con las manos vacías, me compré el vestidito azul que ya conocen.

Bere: ¿Qué? ¿Como? Que!!! Ash
Ivan: Pues si, aquí están todos menos tú,¡lanzate!
Bere: Pff, no llego, eso me queda lejos, tomale fotos y me las pasas (más Ash!)
Ivan: Yastas, a ver como me salen

Y así llegó la foto de Liv Tyler a mi blog. Ivan hizo un buen trabajo ¿no creen?

Cafe Tacvba se presentó el pasado jueves 13 y viernes 14 en la Expo Shanghai. Yo me enteré del concierto hace apenas una semana. Obviamente tenía que ir. El jueves por la mañana supe que asistiría en calidad de fotógrafa, no me pregunten como sucedió pero esa noche a las 8 en punto mi corazón palpito fuerte mientras mi cámara hacía click al ritmo de la música. Baile, grite y cante. Por unos minutos sentí que estaba en México. Me cayó el veinte de que seguía en Shanghai cuando a la salida de la Expo no había ningún puesto de tacos al pastor.

Sweden is world known for its functional and minimalist design, Ikea is the great proof of that. But in the fashion industry, does Sweden want to be recognized under the same characteristics? The answer is no, Sweden is ready to break up with those stereotypes. The proof are the garments conceived by the 13 designers who are part of the Swedish Fashion Exhibition Exploring a New Identity.

The exhibition created by The Swedish Institute and curated by Maria Ben Saad aims to present the work of the new generation of Swedish designers and to create a new image for the Swedish fashion, an image more complex than that of the “inexpensive fast fashion ” of H&M.

The designers and brands represented at the exhibition are Ann-Sofie Back, Sandra Backlund, Martin Bergström, Blank, Burfitt, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, Helena Hörstedt, Rickard Lindqvist, The Local Firm, Nakkna, Diana Orving, Göran Sundberg, Rodebjer. They share more than just the nationality, they share the same vision, that fashion should be more spectacular and less commercial.

Cuando pensamos en la moda Sueca lo que se nos viene a la cabeza en primer lugar es H&M, después seguramente pensaremos en Acne y Cheap Monday ¿pero que hay más allá?

Si algo ha caracterizado a Suecia es su diseño funcional y minimalista, Ikea es la gran prueba de ello. Pero en la industria de la moda, ¿Suecia quiere ser reconocida por las mismas características? La respuesta es no, Suecia le esta apostando a romper con dichos estereotipos, y las propuestas de los 13 diseñadores que forman parte de la Exhibición Swedish Fashion Exploring a New Identity logran hacerlo.

Dicha exhibición creada por The Swedish Institute y curada por Maria Ben Saad tiene como objetivo dar a conocer el trabajo de la nueva generación de diseñadores suecos y crear una nueva imágen para la moda Sueca, imagen que poco tiene que ver con la “inexpensive fast fashion” de H&M.

Ann-Sofie Back, Sandra Backlund, Martin Bergström, Blank, Burfitt, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, Helena Hörstedt, Rickard Lindqvist, The Local Firm, Nakkna, Diana Orving, Rodebjer y Göran Sundberg conforman esa nueva generación de diseñadores que mas allá de compartir la nacionalidad comparten la misma visión: la moda debe ser mas espectacular y menos comercial.
