Hoy es el día de la Bastilla, la Fiesta Nacional de Francia. Mi amor por Francia es grande así que cada año procuro tener una pequeña celebración. Escucho mis canciones francesas favoritas, disfruto de alguna delicia francesa (si es posible), observo detenidamente mis fotos de Francia y sueño con estar sentada en mi Crêperie Bretonne favorita. Sé que ese día llegará. Mientras tanto quiero compartir con ustedes los siguientes videos del gran interprete Francés, Charles Trénet. France, mon coeur fait boum pour toi.

The photography is excellent, but I must confess that I preferred the previous short. I can not help it but I´m a big Zooey Deschanel fan.

¿Recuerdan la campaña de Oliver Peoples donde Zooey Deschanel y Matt Costa eran los protagonistas de un corto? Bueno pues ahora le toco a Shirley Manson y Elijah Wood protagonizar la campaña 2010 con el corto “les enfants s´ennuient le dimanche”.

La fotografía es excelente pero debo confesar que me gustó mas el anterior, no puedo evitarlo, soy fan de Zooey Deschanel.

Anyway, this post was not really about Oliver Peoples or about the short films but, as always, one thing leads to another, and this time the other was to share the music of Zee Avi.

She’s the one singing the beautiful soundtrack to the short. Zee Avi also happens to be one of those few lucky ones that find their fortune through You Tube when Patrick Keeler from the Raconteurs discovered her videos. She’s definitely worth listening to, because she is one of those singers that make you smile, dream and have a better day.

En fin, este post en realidad no era ni acerca de Oliver Peoples ni acerca del corto, pero como siempre una cosa lleva a la otra, y la otra, era compartirles la música de Zee Avi.

Es ella quién canta en dicho corto. Es ella quién encontro a su hada madrina, o mejor dicho hado padrino (Patrick Keeler) gracias a You tube. Vale la pena escucharla, porque es de aquellas cantantes que te hacen sonreir, soñar y tener un día mejor.

Al ritmo del hip hop de Niña Dioz fueron desfilando uno a uno los 25 atuendos de la colección entre los cuales destacaron Shorts, faldas cortas y los tan adorados u odiados pantalones Harem a.k.a M.C. hammer pants quién por cierto después de hacerlos populares a finales de los 80´s y principios de los 90´s ahora reniega de ellos y no quiere ningún tipo de asociación con dicha prenda, demasiado tarde ¿no creen?. Por cierto tampoco son los favoritos de nuestra querida Anna Wintour.

Continuando con la colección, las gorras, collares largos y dorados, bicicletas y por supuesto tenis Nike fueron los complementos que dejan claro que la colección no podría concordar mejor con la imagen Nike.

Yesterday Laura Carrillo a.k.a CHABE presented her Spring-Summer Collection 2010 at Casa Nike.

To Niña Dioz hip hop beats we saw on the runway the entire collection. Shorts, mini skirts and the wonderful or horrible Harem Pants a.k.a MC Hammer pants, who by the way doesn´t want to be associated with them, even if it was him who make them popular in the late 80′s and the beggining of the 90´s Anna Wintour doesn´t love them either.

Caps, long and golden necklaces, bicycles and of course Nike sneakers were the collection complements.

This morning I had a wild desire to listen music from the 60′s, it seemed a little strange, but I decided to satisfy my desire and somehow I finished listening to the Beatles Asian Version. If you are curious about how it sound and want to remember the old-time-never-lived CLICK
