Alejandra Quesada Otoño-Invierno 2011 — Mercedes Benz Dfashion

Last night at Mercedes Benz Dfashion, mexican designer Alejandra Quesada showed her Automn Winter Collection “I believe in pink poison”. Quesada’s collection reminded me of dreams and fairy tales, with the models coming down the runway in jumpsuits, dresses, shorts, pants, shirts, sweaters and leggings with strawberry, flower, and bug prints, and sporting headbands by Maria Videl in light pink and gold, shaped as unicorn horns. Overall the collection was good, I wish… Read more »

Benetton Spring 2011

For spring 2011 the highlights of the Benetton collection are the multifunctional pieces. Long light cotton skirts that can be used as dresses, blouses that can be adjusted in different ways to make them look different each time, and a variety of light cotton pieces that can be used all at once to get the layered look. Rapsodia Spring 2011

This season’s Rapsodia collection is about mixing colors, patterns and styles. The collection is inspired by elements from the past and present: the tribal prints from Africa, the camouflage jackets from a safari, the ultra washed denim from the 80’s, and the innocence and romance of vintage dresses. There are no rules anymore. Play with your clothes and accessories. Try combinations that you never dared before. Experiment, and perhaps something interesting comes out. Read more »
