8mm of beauty

The other day I was browsing around in the local secondhand store, when I came across a little beauty hidden in a corner. It was a fully functional Fujica Z1 single-8 camera. Hardly a scratch on it. It even came with an unexposed film cassette. And with a price tag of only 50kr (about 80 pesos) I simply couldn’t resist. Not quite sure about what to do with it, though. Films tend to be a tad expensive and hard to find, and then there is this whole ordeal with transferring it to digital, etc. Below you’ll find a few examples of some stunning 8mm videos from vimeo. It’s really something special about that medium, don’t you think? |
