魔法天裁 – The Chinese Project Runway

Last Tuesday I went to the season finale of 魔法天裁 the Chinese version of Project Runway. Four Chinese young designers got their chance to show their collections that day. Please don´t ask me their names, I´m very bad reading and remembering Chinese names, but if you are curious you can see them in this link.

The show of course was completely in Chinese. I could understand one word here another there. But even if most of the time I didn’t understand what was going on I had a lot of fun. The winner looked a lot like Alexander Wang and I must confess I didn’t like his designs, specially the white short lace leggings that just made his clothes look cheap, but hey, what do I know about Chinese Fashion?

Here some pictures I could rescue from the bunch I took, unfortunately my seat was located in a very unstrategic place, most of them were ruined by the Chinese heads sitting in front of me.

El martes tuve la oportunidad de asistir al final de temporada de 魔法天裁 la versión China de Project Runway. Cuatro finalistas presentaron sus colecciones ese día. No me pregunten sus nombres, la verdad soy malísima leyendo y recordando nombres Chinos, pero si les da curiosidad conozcanlos en este link.

El show por supuesto fue en Chino. Entendí una palabra por aquí otra por allá, pero a pesar de mi incapacidad por comprender claramente las críticas de los jueces me divertí un montón. El ganador parecía el clon de Alexander Wang y les confieso que no me gustaron para nada sus diseños, especialmente el uso de leggings cortos de encaje, para mi gusto un poco corrientes, pero ¿qué sé yo de la moda China?

Aquí las pocas fotografías que pude rescatar de las tantas que tomé. Desafortunadamente mi lugar no era para nada estratégico y la mayoria de mis fotos tienen en primer plano una cabezota China, ¿Por qué no me dieron una front row?

    ¡Ay qué padre! Yo quiero ir a una grabación de esas. Dónde los jueces sean rudos y les digan “esos diseños son de estudiante” jojojo.

    beautiful designs! wow…I wish I could have bee there.

    Asia really has some good designers. I think better then the US

    demasiada asimetría para mi gusto, estampados feitos jaja, y si no les favorece a los chinos esqueléticos pues acá menos jaja. Q padre todo lo que estás viviendo por allá!. Quiero más pics de bolsos de animalitos PORFIIIIS jajaja
